Aspen Outfitting Company offers five different models of sidelock guns built on the famous Holland & Holland bar action double intercepting sear patent. These guns range from a very reasonable, well built game gun, to a true “best” gun at a fraction of the price of an English gun.
The unsurpassed safety of the sidelock action, combined with the elegance and aesthetic values of these best guns, make them not only a fine sporting firearm, but a family heirloom as well.
Made by Armas Ugartechea of Eibar, Spain, the five sidelock models imported by Aspen Outfitting Company are uniquely built with two transverse support members to strengthen the action. Aspen Outfitting Company is the only importer of these, the highest quality available from Armas Ugartechea. This beefed-up action is made for the kind of high-volume shooting that a shooter can encounter on driven bird shoots in Spain, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere in Europe, as well as South American dove and perdiz shooting.
The five Aspen Outfitting Company sidelocks are priced according to the quality of wood and checkering, intricacy of engraving, and general fit and finish.
